Spotted: Mid-Pivot Nukeproof Dissent DH Prototype - 2026 Loudenvielle DH World Cup

May 2026 · Jessie-May Morgan

Joe is running a mid-pivot layout that will give rise to a rear-center length that grows significantly more as the bike is pushed into its travel.

Highs
  • Mid-pivot design increases rear-center length by 12mm at 100mm travel, enhancing stability

  • Adjustable idler positions (5 options) for tuning pedal kickback

  • OChain provides up to 12° crank-chainring dissociation, reducing kickback and chain flailing

  • E*thirteen Sidekick hub further mitigates pedal kickback

  • Anti-rise around 100% provides active braking squat that rider prefers

  • Removable braces on swingarm allow stiffness adjustment

Lows
  • Idler pulleys can cause pedal kickback if not tuned properly

  • Free stroke out of start gate may be large due to dissociation

First Look: Nukeproof is Back with the Reactor V2

Nov 2025 · Jessie-May Morgan

To make the V1 stiff enough with the bridge around the front of the seat angle, we had to add more material to the layup which made it heavier. The new frame was done like this to achieve the desired stiffness in a lighter package. The old frame was 2.4 kg whereas the new one is 2.16 kgs (without paint) Although the Mega seat stay may look similar, they are different.
