A premium Dutch-style cruiser with adjustable upright stem and swept back handlebar. Available in three frame sizes, but only one color and frame style. The deep wave step-thru design is extremely approachable and easy to stand over. Sleek monoshock suspension fork and adjustable suspension seat post offer improved comfort.

Matching ergonomic grips, gel saddle, twist bell, and half-grip shifter provide a clean professional look while limiting clutter and providing a high level of functionality... the design elements feel very intentional. Compact display is simple to use and easy to read. Durable plastic fenders with headlight integration and rubber mud flaps and fully encased chain cover keep you dry and clean.

Ebike specific puncture resistant tires provide reflective stripes for increased visibility and safety. Integrated lights run off of the rechargeable battery pack. Powerful hydraulic disc brakes are responsive and the levers offer adjustable reach for different sized hands. Custom rear rack looks beautiful with paint-matched supports on the sides and a hidden support below the fender. It's sturdy, has pannier blockers, and comes with a triple bungee strap!

Efficient Bosch Active Line Plus motor achieves excellent range, and is very quiet. Bosch PowerTube 500 battery is fully concealed within the downtube, top mounting design is easy to access and the black cover matches the black frame color. The bike only comes in one color and does not feature a smartphone app or USB charging features, no bottle cage bosses.

This is the most affordable ebike model from Gazelle, but it uses above average parts including Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors, Schwalbe puncture-resistant tires, Ursus tool-free adjustable kickstand, SR Suntour suspension fork with lockout and rebound adjust, and Shimano Olivio 9-speed derailleur.

Gazelle has a reputation for quality and has been awarded the Royal Dutch designation, operating since 1892 in the Netherlands, focusing more and more on sustainability in recent decades.

The price and weight have increased a bit since the 2019 version of the bike, but the frame and stem feel stiffer. Base level Bosch Active Line motor and PowerPack 400 battery are best suited to casual riding. No more keyed-alike cafe lock, slower Bosch 2 amp charger, limited display readouts and no smartphone app, but it now has bottle cage bosses.

Top mounting Bosch PowerTube 500 battery is easy to use and looks great, it shares the same key as the AXA frame lock. The adjustable angle stem, upgraded suspension fork (with lockout, preload, and rebound adjust), ergonomic grips, and shorter wheelbase provide great aerodynamic or comfort options, including upright Dutch style.

Three frame sizes improve fit. Premium alloy fenders, chain cover, rear rack, reflective tires, and integrated lights add utility and safety. The headlight has side cutouts and is mounted up high for improved visibility, it points where you steer and isn't blocked by the fender as some competing designs are. The rear light has four LEDs for added brightness.

The continuously variable transmission hub adds ~4lbs of additional weight compared to a traditional derailleur and cassette. The 500 watt hour battery is decent, and they do include a four amp fast charger, but the key is required to re-insert the battery pack and that same key cannot be removed from the frame lock without first locking. The Purion display offers limited menus, does not include USB charging, is not removable, and is not compatible with Bosch ebike apps. Only one color, only available in America, price is fairly high.
