The latest Specialized Stumpjumper impresses with increased travel, a proprietary shock, and innovative design tweaks
Genie shock offer impressive grip and small bump sensitivity
Well-rounded, easy to get along with geometry (that’s also widely adjustable)

Specialized EVO'd the Stumpy 15, making it a lot more interesting as a Shore-worthy trail bike.
Excellent paint job (dark cherry to black fade)
Genie shock provides good plushness and bottom-out protection
Fox Transfer NEO dropper post is flawless and responsive
S-Works Power Pro with Mirror saddle is very comfortable
Roval Traverse SL II wheels with I9 Hydra hubs look great and sound good
Frame protection included (Ride Wrap, shuttle guard)
SWAT tool under top cap is handy
Fox 36 fork feels flexy under heavy braking or in holes (195lb rider)
XTR brakes had contamination issues, less powerful than SRAM Maven
Rear tire (Grid Trail T7) feels thin and may lack grip in wet conditions
800mm handlebar width on all sizes makes no sense for smaller riders
Deity grips will likely be swapped out
High price ($14,499 CAD / $11,299 USD)
No internal shift cable routing on carbon frame
