Summary
The Specialized Enduro is celebrated for its exceptional downhill performance, with a suspension system that excels in rough terrain, offering stability and traction. It's equipped with smart features like the SWAT box and integrates high-end components, though some find it overkill for less demanding trails. The bike's recent updates include compatibility with Transmission drivetrains, enhancing its modern appeal.
completely composed on the roughest trails
brilliant rear suspension offering lots of traction
smart features such as the SWAT box
well-specced components for the price
Modernized with Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) for compatibility with Transmission drivetrains
too much bike for many trails
riding position too stretched uphill
not the most precise handling bike
Aftermarket kits will not be available until early 2025
High retail price for complete build
Hold on and stay off the brakes!
The Specialized Enduro Expert is an absolute machine, capable of taking on the world’s roughest descents.
I like the approach of modernizing elements of a bike as need be without completely overhauling the platform.Pinkbike

Over the course of the year we’ve ridden a lot of different bikes and as we narrowed down those bikes to the eight tested here in our Enduro Bike Shootout, the Specialized Enduro is one of our favorites and one that we highly recommend. If you’re a rider who has plenty of pedaling and mellower trails to ride but really lives for the gnarlier trails in your town, the Enduro could be a great option for you. Coming into the riding season this year, I wanted to build a new long travel bike that was a bit of a do it all fun machine. I’ve been tempted by the high pivot enduro bikes that have been coming into play lately – particularly after testing the new GT Force. I love the way that they carry speed over rough sections and appreciate how composed they are when you’re absolutely pinned.
