Summary
The Specialized Turbo Levo is a trail e-bike praised for its natural ride feel and seamless integration of the Brose motor, which provides smooth, quiet power assistance. Its suspension, often featuring FSR four-bar linkage and custom-tuned Fox or RockShox components, delivers a comfortable and controlled ride over rough terrain. While the bike handles well and encourages playful descents, some reviews note occasional motor quirks and the added weight typical of e-bikes.
Smooth and quiet Brose motor operation
Natural ride feel similar to non-powered trail bikes
Well-integrated battery and motor design
Good handling and suspension performance
Comprehensive app for motor and battery tuning
Added weight from e-bike system
Occasional motor power surges or wheezing on climbs
Battery life may not be best in class
Some models have basic components or sizing issues
The Levo is the quietest e-bike we’ve ridden.
Specialized’s latest Turbo trail bike is a subtle, silent but seriously fun and well-packaged ride.
The Turbo Levo FSR has a few quirks but we love it nonetheless, and its shortcomings will surely be updated.
The Turbo Levo is probably the bike that behaves most like a non-powered trail bike, of all the electric mountain bikes I've ridden.ebiketips
The Turbo Levo is akin to a GT car. It’s quiet and the power delivery is smooth and predictable.

A hardtail, fat tire electric bike with high-volume 4.6" tires, four frame size choices, and an extensive network of dealers in the United States
Sturdy thru-axles provide stiffness and strength, the RockShox Bluto air fork provides comfort with lots of adjustability, dropper seat post offers 12 positions
One of the leading designs for motor, battery, and wire integration... the bike is stealthy looking and rides quiet thanks to the Brose motor with belt system
Minimalist control panel, you have to reach down to the left side of the frame to change assist levels, the LED battery readout cannot be turned off and is distracting

Latest firmware unleashes the hooligan potential of the Levo’s trail-tough ‘hidden motor’ performance. Buy if you crave smooth and silent power
Handling and design hide the extra e-bike mass well to encourage proper rallying, smart app offers custom tuning of the quiet, subtly powerful motor, fully reinforced parts, crank, tyre and wheel selection to cope with inevitable motor-mass abuse
Heavy wheels and fork can be clunky, plus they slow down snap acceleration

With sleek integration and incredible handling, the original Turbo Levo FSR eMTB was the undisputed category leader. To solidify its market position, Specialized has launched a new and improved carbon version. - Mtbr.com

The Specialized Turbo Levo Hardtail Comp 6Fattie is a really interesting trail hardtail. With a super-quiet, smooth transmission and an integrated battery it looks and feels a lot like a non-powered hardtail, and it will appeal to people who want a bit of assistance in their riding without buying into the e-bike look. The app-based control is interesting too, and the whole experience feels very stripped back: no displays, not much changing of modes, just going out and riding.

A proven suspension design, 27Plus tyres and Brose motor is a pleasing mix on the e-bike from Specialized.
