The Alpine Trail E1 reminds me of bikes such as the Santa Cruz Bullit and Canyon Strive:ON. These are burly, yet inspiring and playful bikes.

Highs
  • 12 different geometry settings provide a tangible on-trail difference

  • Generous frame protection makes it exceptionally quiet

  • RockShox Ultimate level suspension is hard to come by at this price

Review: The New Marin Alpine Trail is More Adjustable & Capable Than Ever

May 2024 · Jessie-May Morgan

The Alpine Trail moves to a four-bar layout, with twelve geometry configurations to choose from.

Highs

  • Steep seat tube angle feels great on steep climbs

  • Plenty of seat post insertion depth for long travel droppers

Lows
  • Small cannot mount a water bottle

  • On the heavier side
