Canyon Endurace CF SLX 8 Review

Oct 2023

The Canyon Endurace CF SLX 8 combines race bike performance, endurance bike comfort, and a pretty remarkable price given the spec. The only thing holding this bike back is one or two proprietary features that may end up being more of a nuisance than a help.

Highs
  • Relaxed geometry and vibration dampening seatpost make for an extremely comfortable ride

  • Claimed clearance of up to 35mm tires, but may fit even wider

  • Inexpensive given the spec (SRAM Force AXS, Quarq power meter, carbon wheels)

Lows
  • In-frame storage is too small to be useful

  • Not compatible with a traditional stem

The Canyon Endurace Allroad Is Best $1,500 Bike I’ve Ridden

Dec 2025

With an aluminum frame, carbon fork and full Shimano Cues group, the $1,499 Endurace Allroad delivers a smooth, snappy ride and 40mm tire clearance for road and light gravel.

Highs
  • Excellent value at $1,499

  • Premium ride feel: smooth, well-damped, supple, quiet

  • Tube-type ready rims, fender and rack mounts, top-tube bosses

  • 120kg weight limit and 40mm tire clearance

Lows
  • Stock tires and tubes are slow: wire-bead tires, butyl tubes

  • Saddle cover is too slippery, requiring constant position adjustments

  • From the drops, rear downshift throw is long, occasional missed detent

  • Brakes have slightly mediocre initial bite and power

  • Direct-to-consumer model prevents in-person sizing before purchase
