2025 Ari Timp Peak Review

Apr 2026

The Ari Timp Peak Pro carves turns well, blasts through chunder and even has a bit of pop - for an eMTB that is

Highs
  • Smooth and supple suspension feel from RockShox Vivid Ultimate shock (coil-like feel) and Zeb Ultimate fork

  • Excellent stability, traction, and composure in rough sections

  • Versatile geometry adjustability (4 flip chip settings) for BB height and chainstay length

  • Mullet setup preferred for cornering and playfulness

  • Good combination of stability, traction, pop and play for an eMTB

  • Powerful Bosch Gen5 motor with consistent modes (eMTM and Turbo)

  • Extended Boost helpful on technical climbs

  • Excellent Walk mode

  • Good climbing ability: tracks well on uphill turns, ample traction, balanced

  • DT Swiss wheels stayed true; Maven brakes strong with no arm pump

  • AXS XO derailleur shifted excellently despite impacts

  • Wireless handlebar controller easily rotated; protected rear wheel sensor

  • 600Wh battery sufficient for most rides; extender works flawlessly

  • Ari customer reps responsive

Lows
  • Battery removal easy but reinstallation very difficult (especially 600Wh)

  • Eco+ mode problematic: intermittent lag, unreliable

  • Auto mode lags when trail characteristics change (prefers eMTB/Turbo)

  • Slight grease/oil seen on Vivid Ultimate shock stanchion

  • Weight (49.8 lbs) makes popping/play harder than non-eMTB

  • OneUp V3 dropper got sticky in winter (resolved with lube and air)

  • AXS front derailleur adjustments needed

  • DTC lacks local bike shop support for motor/battery issues

  • Battery and motor defects may occur after 1-year warranty

  • Non-US buyers may face tariffs (25% in this case)
