The original TransAM was one of my first dream bikes when I first became interested in mountain bikes over a decade ago, and it’s safe to say that its modern reincarnation carries the same torch of being an aggressive, up for anything hardtail. And while the new TransAM can most certainly give a lot of full suspension bikes a run for their money on steep, chunky trails, it does leave a bit to be desired in on flatter terrain and flow trails.
