Leveraging the same design principles as the carbon Crux, the Crux DSW incorporates Specialized’s patented D’Aluisio Smartweld technology, making it the lightest alloy gravel frame available. The bike's frame weighs just 1399 grams, and with a Fact12r Crux carbon fork, the complete bike tips the scales at 9.37kg.

From Specialized

The Crux DSW is built for versatility and performance, offering the same tire clearance as its carbon counterpart. It accommodates up to 47mm tires or 2.1” on 650b wheels, allowing it to handle a variety of terrains with ease. This bike is designed to provide a responsive and comfortable ride, with performance gravel geometry that includes a longer reach for better weight distribution and a lower stack for an aerodynamic position. Its 72mm bottom-bracket drop ensures a balanced mix of agility and stability.

The D’Aluisio Smartweld process is key to the Crux DSW’s capabilities, utilizing hydroforming to enhance tube-to-tube joints for stronger welds and a lighter, more durable frame. This innovative approach results in a single-piece downtube and bottom bracket, reducing weight and improving responsiveness.

With the Crux DSW, Specialized continues to push the envelope in bike design, offering a high-performance option for gravel enthusiasts looking for a lightweight and capable ride.
