Massive amounts of fun at a respectable price, but don’t expect the Spectral:ON CF 7.0 to tackle the gnarliest tracks without flinching a bit
Impressive spec list with seemingly few compromises
Amazing cornering abilities
Shimano motor provides plenty of assistance
Rear tyre isn’t suitable for the punishment an ebike dishes out
I’d prefer more progressive geometry to help with downhill handling

Budget Canyon in review: Can the direct-to-consumer brand still deliver a good overall package with the Canyon Spectral:ON 7.0?
Cleverly specced
Lively and agile handling
An eMTB for mountain bikers
Bottle cage in the front triangle
Value for money
Play in the dropper post
Play in the bearings of the rear linkage (according to Canyon they fixed this on the production models)

Canyon Spectral:On is a versatile and pretty agressive trail bike made to entertain. It will handle most kinds of terrain and it's very playful.

The Canyon Spectral:ON is sporting 150mm of rear wheel travel and short 432mm chain stays that mirror the regular Canyon Spectral bike.
Amazing attention to detail.
Needs a shorter stem.
