Exceptional uphill, fast handling, and a quality build kit make this a very compelling package
Beautifully balanced handling
Considered aero touches
Still feels like a climbers bike
Still some proprietary touches
Threaded BB would be preferable
No 0mm seat post option

It's been a long time coming but Canyon's Ultimate has been refined and improved in this excellent fifth generation
Pleasingly lightweight
Beguiling kit list for the price
Easy adjustments to cockpit for great fit
Sharp but fun
Dizzying array of model choice
Canyon’s new accessories will make you part with more cash
Lightest models are expensive

Canyon's Ultimate CF SL Disc may be a few years old, but including it in the Field Test has proved that this high-value racer has aged incredibly well.
Comfortable ride quality, balanced handling, Canyon’s own cockpit components, stock tyres.
Somewhat odd frame sizing, press fit BB, locked into 1 1/4″ stems, narrow rims, fixed stem length and handlebar width.

Stiff, comfortable, fast, light... you name it, the Ultimate has it!
It's personal, but I just can't get on with the Fizik saddle
