Summary
The Whyte T-130 is a trail bike that excels in handling and suspension performance, offering a confident and playful ride. While it boasts cutting-edge handling and a well-tuned suspension system, it is often criticized for its weight and brake performance. The bike's design and components receive praise for their style and precision, though some note the firm rear end and climbing efficiency as drawbacks.
Outstanding flat-out handling and frame stiffness
Excellent ready-to-ride suspension balance
Cutting-edge handling
Sorted suspension
Stylish in every detail
Direct, playful handling
Precise handling
High overall and wheel weight
TRP brakes lack power and consistent control
SRAM Level TL brakes lack power and reliability
Sluggish climber
Firm rear end isn’t very comfortable
Heavy, with limp brakes, but brilliant handling and sorted suspension give it the aggro win
The Whyte T-130 S is stylish in every detail, right down to color-coordinated components.
The Whyte blasts through corners thanks to its short chainstays and loves to zig-zag its way playfully down the trail.

Whyte’s new T-130s all deliver a tight, highly controlled ride, top kit and killer geometry packages and the RS is a real ripper. Buy if you want a sharp, shorter-travel, full-bore trail blaster that oozes confidence wherever you take it
Tweaked, stretched geo, ground-hugging traction, infectiously rowdy descending prowess and impressive on the climbs too
Still a morsel of rear-end flex, suspension can occasionally be caught out by big hits
