Capable aluminium gravel bike that doubles as a commuter. Buy if you want a good value do-it-all road bike that'll be as comfortable for a pot-hole riddled commute as an on-road/off-road weekend adventure ride
Comfortable, versatile, can take bigger tyres for an even smoother ride
Fewer mounts for attaching racks and mudguards than the carbon models which limits versatility

One of the main reasons …

Specialized has updated the Diverge for 2018 with a deeper commitment to the bike’s off-road capabilities. The second-generation Diverge features a re-designed frameset that eschews Zertz elastomers in favour of a Future Shock suspension unit for the stem.
