Nicely made and well-finished frame is a good starting point for upgrades. 650b hoops give it a more playful character than big-wheeled rivals.
SR Suntour XCT fork is bendy and the damping gets out of hand quickly on rough terrain. The Tektro brakes lack bite and feel, as well as outright stopping power.

If you want to put the saddle down, you are going to have to take a hacksaw to the seatpost.
