Summary
The Salsa Journeyer is celebrated for its versatility, comfort, and fun riding experience, making it a solid choice for gravel adventures. Its aluminum frame offers a surprisingly smooth ride, and the bike's geometry encourages a comfortable fit, though some note its weight and handling limitations on climbs or aggressive descents. With a mix of positive and mixed reviews, it's praised for its value and mount options but critiqued for some build quality and performance aspects.
Highly versatile design
Surprisingly comfortable
Easy-to-ride geometry
Loads of mounts
Fun and confidence-instilling bike to ride
Heavier than the competition
Stubby seat tube lengths make the sizing weird
Feels sluggish on the climbs due to additional weight
Welds are a little agricultural
Lacks a bit of speed from a handling point of view
Holy ******* ****, this bike is so fun!
It's nothing especially fancy, but the aluminum frame has a nice ride quality and all the frame and fork mount options you could probably ever need.
A great bike for getting out there and enjoying yourself.

The fun and easy-going one of the party.
Highly versatile design, surprisingly comfortable, easy-to-ride geometry, tubeless-ready (sort of), regular component fitments, good tyre clearance, just simply fun.
Stubby seat tube lengths make the sizing weird, potentially over-geared for adventuring on big tyres, mechanical disc brakes are only so-so, cables will rub paint if not protected.

Loads of mounts
Welds are a little agricultural
