Pivot Shuttle SL Pro XO Eagle Transmission

Mar 2024

The Pivot Shuttle SL, ideal for climbing with agile geometry and ample torque even in lower output modes, excels in tackling technical climbs and tight switchbacks, albeit with a slightly less composed feel on descents compared to enduro-focused pedal assist bikes, offering adjustable tuning to balance increased assistance with battery range.

Highs
  • Very light given its 430 Wh battery

  • Best in class for technical climbs

  • Agile and responsive geometry makes bike feel even lighter than it is

Lows
  • Unique motor tune (which can be changed) decreases battery range in most settings

  • Quickly reaches its intended limits on high speed, technical descents

Review: Pivot Shuttle AM - The Electrified Bump Muncher

Dec 2025 · Stephane Pelletier

Equipped with Bosch's CX Race motor, the Shuttle AM flies up the climbs, but it wasn't as surefooted on the descents.

Highs
  • Great traction when climbing technical climbs

  • Comfortable rider position

  • Excels on moderate terrain, lively and energetic

Lows
  • Suspension has a tendency to blow through travel

  • On the pricier side for our test bikes

  • Less confident in rougher and speedier terrain

Bike Review | Pivot Shuttle SL/AM Pro XO

Jun 2025

Jack of all trades, The Shuttle SL/AM is Pivot’s newest bike, and its fourth e-bike. It has 150/160 millimeters of travel, weighs just under 40 pounds in its lightest build, and uses a Bosch SX motor and 400 Wh battery. That means that it’s not Pivot’s lightest weight e-bike (that’s the 130/150 millimeter Shuttle SL), or its most powerful e-bike (that’s the Shuttle LT 160/170 with millimeters of travel), or its other almost 150/160 millimeter e-bike (that’s the 148/160 millimeter, Bosch CX motor-equipped Shuttle AM.), Instead, it’s the do-it-all option in Pivot's line: almost as light as the Shuttle SL, almost able to hang with the full powered hawg that is the Shuttle LT, with travel and geometry that should be able to handle most trails. Or, put it another way, it’s a lighter Shuttle AM or a motorized Switchblade. So, what’s Pivot’s recipe for a “default” e-bike? Pivot Shuttle SL/AM Details, Travel: 150 mm (rear) 160 mm (front), Wheel Size: 29” with MX capabilities, Size Tested: Large, Build Tested: Pro XO, Head Tube Angle: 64.5°, Motor: Bosch Performance Line SX, Battery: 400 Wh, Measured weight: 43.06 lbs (19.53 kg), MSRP: $10,399

Pivot Shuttle LT Pro XO e-MTB review

Dec 2024

The Pivot Shuttle comes in three flavours, but the LT version is the hard-hitting, 160mm rear travel, mixed-wheeled ripper. With dialled geometry, a pretty reasonable spec and excellent ride characteristics, it has a confidence-inspiring ride. Cornering, braking and high-speed trails are handled with little dramatics whilst the climbing is dispatched with comfort and plenty of traction. It isn’t perfect and the eye-watering price makes it hard to justify it as good value for money but the performance on offer is top-tier and certainly worth trying out if this fits your budget.

Pivot Shuttle AM Review | The All-Mountain Gold Standard?

Nov 2024 · Griffin Hales

The Pivot Shuttle AM makes a serious case for the title of best all-mountain eMTB with a well-balanced approach. It has power, agility, and performance in spades. The all-mountain eMTB category has many impressive options to sort through, but Pivot went swinging for the fences with the design of the Shuttle AM. One quick look

Highs
  • Top-tier motor performance. Our tester’s Bosch Performance Line CX Race edition is light, intuitive, and powerful. You can feel the 400% multiplier at work, but we also like that it can be customized to fit your riding preferences.

  • It is extremely versatile for different types of riding. It climbs well and handles descents nicely. It comes stock with 29” wheels F/R, but it can be run as a mullet and has some geo adjustability with the flip chip design.

  • The handling characteristics feel well-balanced. The bike feels lighter than you’d expect for 50 lbs, and that weight is great for a 750Wh battery.

  • The suspension works well. The 148/160 setup feels stiff for climbing efficiency, but it feels soft and comfortable on downhills.

  • The SRAM AXS shifter is really cool tech that compliments the motor nicely. Shift when you want to, and the system guides the derailleur through the shift nearly seamlessly, even under load.

  • We liked the frame design. The carbon frame looks good and keeps things light, but the overall geo and sizing keep the rider comfortable on a fairly lively riding experience.

  • A lot of great components: Fox 36 Factory, Fox Float X, Shimano XT M8120, etc.

Lows
  • We hope to see carbon wheels in the $10-11k build range, but they aren’t included until you hit the $14k build on this model.
