The Pivot Shuttle SL, ideal for climbing with agile geometry and ample torque even in lower output modes, excels in tackling technical climbs and tight switchbacks, albeit with a slightly less composed feel on descents compared to enduro-focused pedal assist bikes, offering adjustable tuning to balance increased assistance with battery range.
Very light given its 430 Wh battery
Best in class for technical climbs
Agile and responsive geometry makes bike feel even lighter than it is
Unique motor tune (which can be changed) decreases battery range in most settings
Quickly reaches its intended limits on high speed, technical descents

The Shuttle SL represents the Arizona-based brands debut entry into the increasingly popular ‘Super Light’ e-MTB category and ever since it was first unveiled late last year this bike certainly has been grabbing a lot of attention thanks to its striking appearance combined with a very impressive list of performance stats. This is a bike that we were extremely excited to get our hands on for review here at the mag due to the fact that we are big fans […]

Pivot has dropped this inbetweener AM model into the Shuttle range. Carrying the 'all-mountain' tag, it promises to split the difference between the lightweight SL and hard-hitting LT.
Sleek design with sublime handling and suspension. Makes you question why anyone would want an MX wheel set-up
There’s no ignoring the price. Depending on where and how you ride, it probably needs a Double Down casing rear tyre. Standard rattle from the Bosch motor when coasting.

Pivot's latest eMTB, designed to shine whatever the terrain
Neutral suspension deals with terrain without complaint
Middle of the road geometry makes it easy to get on and ride
Top-end motor's performance is stellar
Hugely expensive
Would benefit from having tougher tyres for techy terrain

With its Bosch system and mid-travel platform, the brand new Pivot Shuttle AM is the Goldolocks of the Pivot Cycles e-MTB lineup.
Superb, cloud-like suspension
Mighty Bosch CX motor with neat integration
Comfortable all-day riding position
Formidable climber
Rattly brake pads and motor
Pivot price tag

With a claimed weight of just 36.1 pounds, the Shuttle SL is one of the lightest electric mountain bikes on the market.

Mar 2023 · Simon Kohler
With the Pivot Shuttle SL Pro, the Arizona-based premium brand introduced their first ever Light-eMTB equipped with a FAZUA Ride 60 motor.
Very efficient uphill
Feels as if it has more travel
Extremely precise
Battery can’t be removed
Tires don’t do justice to the potential of the bike
Handling can be demanding
