Norco Sight VLT C2 27.5 ebike review - MBR

Jun 2020 · Paul Burwell

The Norco Sight VLT C2 27.5 is the power-assisted version of Norco's award-winning trail bike. Here's the final verdict on our long term test bike.

Highs
  • Supple and sensitive rear suspension, well-balanced frame (when new) looks a million dollars.

  • Whopping 630Wh battery offers extended range and reduced frequency between charge cycles.

  • Sorted component array out of the box: short stem, wide bar, soft-compound Maxxis 3C tyres, size-specific dropper post.

Lows
  • Unreliability is the Achilles’ heel of most e-bikes, and the Norco has suffered more than most with two extended periods of inactivity.

  • The lack of a chain device has caused untold damage to the underside of the carbon frame.

  • To keep it in place, the rubber charging port cover needs a more secure attachment and a tether, so you don’t lose it.

[R]eviewed: Norco Sight VLT 2

Mar 2019 · Darren Mallard

With the E-Bike market expanding faster than my waistline over the festive season, it is with no surprise that Norco has decided to come to the party.  While a lot of companies have been fast to produce e-Bikes stemming off their regular bike lineups, Norco have been hiding theirs deep in the Squamish forrest, growing, improving, becoming a full grown beast. Through the development process they focused on it feeling as playful and capable as the rest of their line […]

Tested: Norco Sight VLT 2

Mar 2019

For a first entry in the world of e-mountain bikes, Norco have delivered a cheeky headbutt to a lot brands that have been in e-bike realm for a number of years. The Sight VLT has raced straight to the head of the pack, leaving very few areas for improvement.    That sounds pretty positive, why …

Highs
  • The handling!

  • Lively suspension that doesn't feel like your typical eMTB.

  • Great range.

  • Beautiful frame construction.

Lows
  • Why no water bottle?

  • Handlebar clutter and cable mess.

  • Battery is non-removable.
