Summary
The Norco Fluid mountain youth bike is praised for its impressive build spec and kid-friendly components, including a dropper post and quality suspension that exceeds expectations. It's designed to inspire confidence in young riders, with geometry and specs that allow them to tackle challenging trails. However, some parents may find the price tag a barrier, and there are noted issues with the rear derailleur and brake adjustments for smaller hands.
Impressive build spec for a Youth bike
Kids-specific handlebar, grips, saddle, and pedals
Dropper post included for climbs and descents
Quality components that are easily replaceable
Good entry level Shimano brakes
Price tag may be a barrier for some parents
Rear derailleur is more susceptible to rock strikes
Brakes could have more adjustment for small hands
The simple answer is, everything.
Give most kids any old clapped-out bike, and they’ll find a way to have fun on it, but give a kid a comparable bike to your own, and she can ride any trail you can ride, possibly even better than you.
Norco claims the Fluid 24 will fit kids with an inseam length of 56-65 centimeters. That’s a wide range, and I’d always recommend going with the largest wheels size you can even if the bike is a little big at first.

Where the enduro bike is overkill and the cross-country bike is nerve-wracking, the Fluid is right at home.

The Norco Fluid FS has long been one of the best entry-level suspension bikes on the market, and for 2019 Norco has raised the bar once again.
Killer build kit and finish
Over-damped shock deadens the ride

So what am I looking at here? This is the $3199 Norco Fluid FS1. The Fluid series received some love for 2019, and the build quality of this full aluminium bike is very neat indeed. In fact, with its clean, straight lines we think it’s now the best looking frame out of all the aluminium …
Inspiring performance in technical trails.
Ticks all the must-have boxes for a modern trail bike.
Clean and well-executed frame design.
Smooth and grippy suspension and tyres.
Relatively heavy overall weight.
A little lardy on the climbs.
No tubeless tape or valves.
