Summary
The Norco Sight is a versatile trail bike praised for its poised and agile handling, dynamic geometry, and effective suspension that often feels more capable than its travel suggests. It excels in technical climbing and descending, offering a fun and flattering ride that encourages aggressive trail use. However, some reviews note issues with rear suspension support, weight, and component reliability, leading to a mixed overall impression.
Poised and agile handling
Effective suspension performance
Dynamic geometry for confident cornering
Competitive price and good value
Lightweight frame in some builds
Rear suspension lacking support or feeling blunt
On the heavy side
Component issues like fork reliability
Delicate paintwork
The unwilling shock takes the edge off what’s otherwise a really good bike.
Norco are doing great things with their suspension bikes.
The Norco Sight 2 is fun and flattering, combining efficiency with strong handling and playfulness.
The 140mm of travel feels like 160

The Norco Sight is a well balanced bike with supple suspension and 140mm of travel front and rear — but is it solid enough to cut it as a modern trail bike?
Supple suspension on the rear
Balanced handling, even as you go up in sizing
The fork is too spindly
Only medium sizes left now in the UK

In the back corner of my local bike shop sits a 2007 Norco A-Line, a colossal black beast of a bike with 9 inches of travel, a massive dual crown Marzocchi fork, and enough metal framework to support the space shuttle—a bike built for kids who grew up watching low res video of Bender, Schley and Simmons flinging themselves off any cliff they could find between the North Shore and Moab.

Well… Spend the same money on a 26in-wheeled Sight and you get a lighter, better-equipped bike – crucially, the 26in bike has a Fox shock rather than the X-Fusion unit here.

Sitting on top of the Norco Killer B-2 we felt like we were riding into the future. The 650B wheels matched to 140mm of travel position it in an area of the market that many riders are keen to experiment with. There are not many bikes available yet built specifically around this wheel size making …
A balanced frame geometry designed around 650B wheels. Line choices are optional. The overall spec makes us feel like this bike has been put together by a good mate.
The weighty wheelset holds back the full potential of the middle-sized hoops.

The Norco Sight is a 140mm trail bike introduced at Sea Otter last year and made official at Norco’s 2012 launch in Whistler last fall. We’ve been ripping one around our local trails in NC and VA for about nine months under a few different riders. We’ve played with 650B wheels on the bike, too, …
