The MERIDA eONE-SIXTY is a true evergreen and now wants to secure victory in our 2022 budget group test. The new eONE-SIXTY 975 enters the race with a Shimano EP8 motor and bigger battery than its predecessor, offering 750 Wh capacity!
Fun and fast for everyone
Confidence-inspiring
The spec is suitable for everyday use as well as for trail riding
Flimsy skid plate
Loveless cable routing (swingarm)
Lacks sex-appeal

Sep 2021 · Rudolf Fischer
Instead of one bike for everyday use and one for your free time, many people are looking for one bike to do everything. That's why we brought the MERIDA eONE-SIXTY 10K, the winner of the all-rounder group test in our sister magazine E-MOUNTAINBIKE, into this test. Does it also cut a good figure while commuting?
Extravagant carbon looks with metallic paint
Super sporty bike for hobby and leisure time
Premium build for trail use
Minimal everyday accessories
Unfamiliar handling for anyone without mountain bike experience
Narrow range of applications

Aug 2021 · Tom Marvin
Merida’s top-spec electric mountain bike comes dripping with high-end kit, but does this help on the trail?
Very smooth, composed suspension
Good handling on a wide variety of trails
For the most part, the spec list is second to none
A longer front end would improve performance
The front end is pretty high and the seat tube quite tall
The light and rear fender don’t add anything to the package

Jun 2021 · Peter Walker
The MERIDA eONE-SIXTY 10K secured victory as the best all-rounder in our big eMTB group test. It’s smooth, precise and incredibly fast but still conveys huge amounts of confidence thanks to its good-natured handling, managing to combine apparent opposites. But where does it stand against the analogue competition?
Very wide range of applications
Fast, safe and fun for everyone
Perfect spec
Flawless integration of the Shimano system
Loud clunking noise from inside the EP8 motor
Long seat tube

For 2021, the wildly popular Merida eOne-Sixty has been updated with more power, more range, and more capability. How much better is it than the previous version? We got one in to find out - read on for our 2021 Merida eOne-Sixty 9000 review.
Superb all-round handling
Plush and active suspension performance
Mullet setup and sticky front tyre allows you to rail turns
The EP8 motor is smooth, quiet, responsive and intuitive
Tougher tyres are a welcome addition
Bristling with nice finishing details
Rattling noise from the EP8 motor
Integrated Lezyne light is neat, but not suited to off-road use
It's heavier and more expensive than last year's bike

For 2021, Merida’s eOne-Sixty 9000 comes equipped with Shimano’s EP8 motor and a Fox 38 fork, but is this enough of a performance boost?

Dec 2020 · Danny Milner
The new Shimano EP8 e-bike motor has just hit the market and the new Merida eOne-Sixty 8000 is the first e-bike to get it.
A blast to ride. Smooth, unobtrusive motor.
Rear wheel fell apart. Basic fork.

Merida has updated their longest travel eOne-Sixty for 2021 with the all-new Shimano EP8 drive unit and a higher capacity battery. It delivers more power and range with refined performance and control, but it's the changes to the spec elsewhere that really let it fly, uphill and down.
