The Liv Embolden is a well-priced, entry-level trail bike that is fun to ride.
Affordable full suspension
Quality entry level components
Sizes designed for women
Fully capable
Heavy
“Meh” tires
Poor hub engagement
Small rotors resulting in less-than-ideal stopping power

The Liv Embolden may be the cheapest full suspension mountain bike from Liv, but it sure doesn't look like it. Equipped with a brand new frame for 2022, the Embolden features a dropper post, 1x10 drivetrain, tubeless wheels and air-sprung suspension as standard. As to how it rides? Read on for our Liv Embolden review.
Confidence-inspiring handling
Plush, traction-rich suspension
Genuinely tubeless-ready wheels & tyres
Crisp shifting and wide gear range
Dropper post is an absolute winner
Handlebars are too narrow
Active suspension can be a little bobby on the climbs
Lack of chainstay protection

Liv Embolden 1 is an entry-level full-sussser with 27.5in wheels and 120mm travel via a single-pivot linkage design with flex stays and 130mm RockShox fork.
Capable full-suspension trail bike at a great price point, offering everything you need to get started, including versatile tyres and a reliable dropper post.
Clunky shifting does match the price point but you may find yourself wanting to upgrade early on.
