Summary
The Liv Intrigue is a trail bike that excels in delivering a confident and playful ride, equally adept at climbing and descending. Its women's-specific design and modern geometry have been praised for enhancing comfort and performance. While it offers great value and thoughtful specifications, some riders may find its limitations in high-speed stability and dropper post travel a drawback.
Delightfully self-assured ride
Modernized geometry
Thoughtful spec choices
Playful and confident descending
Custom tuned suspension for women
Twitchy at high speeds
Short reach isn't for everyone
Undersized dropper post across the Liv lineup
Reaches limits on bigger drops and harsh impacts
For the first time, 'women’s-specific' truly felt like it was an advantage, rather than something we had to work around.
Less travel can translate into more fun!
The confidence this bike gives you is amazing, effortlessly glided across the really rough stuff, I was so impressed with how smooth it was over roots and rocks, literally mowing over everything in its path.

Good-natured, easy handling
Efficient chassis
Good value for money
Twitchy at high speeds
Unnecessarily long seat tube limits freedom of movement downhill

Reasonably priced
Carbon Rims
Equally at home climbing or descending
Highest available build is GX
No XS frame
Short reach isn't for everyone

While 29ers have proliferated to the point of seemingly threatening extinction to smaller wheel sizes, Liv Cycling has mostly waited and watched the category’s rise. In fact, the women’s-brand just released its first-ever 29er last year, the Pique XC bike. But Liv furthered its commitment to big wheels this week with the release of its…

Solid all-rounder without any particular let-downs, and the low frame weight is great for light riders
Super-light frame makes it easy to manoeuvre
Plush rear suspension provides a smooth ride
Few spec compromises
Doesn’t carry speed as well as some
Prone to pedal bob
