Summary
The Fuji Jari gravel bike series is praised for its versatility, performance, and value, offering a blend of comfort, efficiency, and thoughtful design. It excels in a variety of conditions, from gravel blasting to long-distance cruising, though some models may show limitations in rougher terrain or specific component choices. The Jari stands out for its generous frame features, including ample tire clearance and mounting options, making it a strong contender in the gravel bike category.
Versatile performance across gravel and road conditions
Thoughtful frame design with ample tire clearance and mounting options
Good value for the money with quality components
Some models may struggle in rougher terrain
Component choices may not suit all riders
Weight can be a consideration for some builds
The Fuji Jari is inspiring with a sea of matte carbon gravel bikes ranging from $4K upward that would have difficulty matching its performance.
In trying to be something for everyone, the Jari risks being nothing for nobody.
The Fuji Jari Carbon 1.3 is a really fun bike to ride.

The Fuji Jari 1.3 performs well beyond its price point and would be welcome in any rider's bike fleet, especially those who love gravel.

Jun 2021 · Stu Kerton
Fun bike with a real mixed bag of components, fitted to a very good frameset
Good spread of gears for off road
Flared handlebar gives stability on loose surfaces
Impressive ride quality
Gearing can be gappy on road
FSA chainset looks a bit naff running 1x

Fuji's range-topping Jari Carbon gravel bike sets out to cater for everyone.
Generously-appointed frameset, low frame weight, best-suited for road-leaning applications.
Binary ride quality, gets out of its depth in rougher terrain.

Well kitted-out gravel machine
Great ride position
Smart handling
Full set of fittings for the frameset
Cable disc brakes limit upgrade potential

Great for load-lugging, but there are better specced gravel bikes at this pricepoint
Loads of mounting points
Good lower gear range
Weak mechanical disc brakes
Recessed bottom bracket bearings
