A collaboration between Diamondback, Kevin Quan Studios, and aerodynamicists from outside the cycling industry, the Andean was designed for a singular purpose: wind-defying speed. To dramatically reduce drag at every yaw angle, the design team developed the Aero Core: one large airfoil that begins at the front wheel, transitions over the bottom bracket and exits off the rear wheel. Two aero storage compartments — one on the top tube and another integrated into the bottom bracket area — allow you to carry everything you need on race day without loading up your jersey pockets.
The Andean 2 offers a high-performance component mix. The Shimano Ultegra Di2 2×11-speed drivetrain dishes out flawless shifts. TRP Spyre mechanical disc brakes provide ample stopping power no matter the course conditions. The wheelset pairs a HED Jet 4 Plus Carbon up front with a HED Jet 6 Carbon for a balance of aerodynamics and stable handling, even in side winds.
