Summary
The Cotic BFe is celebrated for its dynamic and engaging ride, offering a blend of durability, versatility, and performance that appeals to trail riders. Its geometry and steel frame construction provide a compliant yet stable ride, suitable for both climbing and descending. While it excels in handling and ride quality, some reviews note areas for improvement in comfort and climbing efficiency.
Dynamic and engaging ride
Versatile design suitable for various trail conditions
Durable steel frame construction
Good handling and stability on descents
Competitively priced for the quality
Seated climbing position could be improved
Bottom bracket height may affect cornering on steep trails
Some components like tyres and chainstay protector could be better
The lower BB proved to offer more cornering stability without sacrificing too much ground clearance
The BFe lives up to its name — it’s a real trail-smasher.
The Bfe is a fast bike, the rapid acceleration putting wind in the Cotic’s sail along twisty singletrack.
What I enjoy the most about the BFe Max is how well balanced the ride is.

Cotic BFe Max review! Cotic takes the BFe name made famous 16 years ago and gives it a 2021 29er spin.

The Burly Iron Cotic BFe 27.5" steel hardtail mountain bike enters its 7th generation, now the brand's longest running model

For 2020, Cotic Bfe has been revamped. The head angle is now a degree slacker for more control, while a steeper seat tube improves the climbing position.
Bombproof chassis feel without being ridiculously stiff
Still needs a much lower bottom bracket height

It’s worth noting that a 150–160mm fork will tip the seat angle back to the point where it’s likely to give a vague steering feel when you’re in the saddle, so I’d say 120–140mm is definitely the sweet spot for fork travel with the BFe.. .
