Summary
The Canyon Ultimate is celebrated for its lightweight, stiff frame and excellent handling, making it a top choice for racing. It offers a balance of aerodynamics, comfort, and efficiency, with updates like integrated routing and a D-shaped seatpost enhancing its performance. While it excels in speed and agility, some models face criticism for proprietary components and limited adjustability.
Lightweight and stiff frame
Excellent handling and agility
Aerodynamic efficiency
Improved comfort with D-shaped seatpost
Competitive pricing for the spec
Proprietary components limit adjustability
Some models have increased weight
Limited parts compatibility
Mixed ride quality on lower-end models
The geometry has been tweaked to bring it in line with the Aeroad.
The new Ultimate is more aerodynamic, to the tune of 10 W when traveling at 45 km/h as compared to the previous generation with the same wheels and components.
The Ultimate CFR Di2 is stupidly light, and an absolute joy when heading uphill.
The nimble acceleration, balanced riding position, and high levels of comfort make it the ideal companion for epic climbs.
A dream bike in every sense.
