Summary

The Canyon Endurace is celebrated for its exceptional blend of speed and comfort, making it a standout in the endurance category. Its relaxed geometry, vibration dampening seatpost, and high-volume tires contribute to a smooth ride, while the aero-tweaked frame and stiff drivetrain ensure efficiency and speed. Despite some critiques about its integrated cockpit and storage solutions, the Endurace offers great value and performance, appealing to riders seeking a fast yet forgiving bike.

Pros
  • Relaxed geometry and vibration dampening seatpost for comfort

  • High performance for the price with aero-tweaked frame

  • Adjustable bar width and cockpit for customization

  • Excellent blend of speed and comfort

  • Top-end components and premium spec

Cons
  • Integrated cockpit makes changing stem length difficult

  • In-frame storage is too small to be useful

  • No mudguard fender eyelets

  • Some light internal brake hose rattle

Key Quotes
Canyon’s updated Endurace has a brilliantly-smooth ride and is very well equipped for its price.
Bicycling
Canyon has tweaked the speed-comfort equation to near-perfection.
BikeRadar logoBikeRadar
The Endurace CFR is still a quick bike, it's stiff and fast, and the handling is excellent.

Canyon Endurace CF SLX 8 Review

Oct 2023

The Canyon Endurace CF SLX 8 combines race bike performance, endurance bike comfort, and a pretty remarkable price given the spec. The only thing holding this bike back is one or two proprietary features that may end up being more of a nuisance than a help.

Highs
  • Relaxed geometry and vibration dampening seatpost make for an extremely comfortable ride

  • Claimed clearance of up to 35mm tires, but may fit even wider

  • Inexpensive given the spec (SRAM Force AXS, Quarq power meter, carbon wheels)

Lows
  • In-frame storage is too small to be useful

  • Not compatible with a traditional stem
