Canyon Endurace CF SLX 8 Review

Oct 2023

The Canyon Endurace CF SLX 8 combines race bike performance, endurance bike comfort, and a pretty remarkable price given the spec. The only thing holding this bike back is one or two proprietary features that may end up being more of a nuisance than a help.

Highs
  • Relaxed geometry and vibration dampening seatpost make for an extremely comfortable ride

  • Claimed clearance of up to 35mm tires, but may fit even wider

  • Inexpensive given the spec (SRAM Force AXS, Quarq power meter, carbon wheels)

Lows
  • In-frame storage is too small to be useful

  • Not compatible with a traditional stem

The Canyon Endurace Allroad Is Best $1,500 Bike I’ve Ridden

Dec 2025

Highs
  • Excellent value at $1,499

  • 100% Shimano components (Cues drivetrain, hydraulic discs)

  • Generous 40mm tire clearance

  • Smooth, quiet, and well-damped ride quality

  • Excellent handling: light steering, planted and predictable

  • Outstanding mechanical front shifting (on par with Dura-Ace 9100)

  • Standard handlebar and fork steerer for easy adjustments

  • Includes fender, rack, and bag mounts

Lows
