Summary

The Canyon Neuron is a versatile trail bike that balances efficiency and agility, making it suitable for a wide range of riders and terrains. Its 130mm travel suspension offers a supple ride with good small-bump sensitivity and efficient pedaling. While it excels in climbing and moderate terrain, some reviews note limitations in steep or technical descents due to its geometry and tire spec.

Pros
  • Versatile 130mm travel suitable for various terrains

  • Efficient pedaling and good climbing performance

  • Lightweight and lively ride feel

  • Good value for the component spec

  • Comfortable and natural pedaling position

Cons
  • Geometry may limit confidence in steep descents

  • Tire spec lacks grip in loose conditions

  • Seat tube length restricts dropper post options

  • Some models have flex when pushed hard

  • Limited steering lock

Canyon Neuron CF 9.0 SL review

Sep 2019 · Alex Evans

A fantastic bit of kit for XC riders with a penchant to get a little rad and rowdy some of the time. Its geometry is fairly conservative though, but the bike is comfortable and composed in most situations on both the descents and ascents.

Highs
  • Value for money, great suspension and should appeal to a fairly broad range of people

Lows
  • Conservative geometry and its intentions can sometimes outgun its ability
