Summary
The Canyon Neuron is a versatile trail bike that balances efficiency and agility, making it suitable for a wide range of riders and terrains. Its 130mm travel suspension offers a supple ride with good small-bump sensitivity and efficient pedaling. While it excels in climbing and moderate terrain, some reviews note limitations in steep or technical descents due to its geometry and tire spec.
Versatile 130mm travel suitable for various terrains
Efficient pedaling and good climbing performance
Lightweight and lively ride feel
Good value for the component spec
Comfortable and natural pedaling position
Geometry may limit confidence in steep descents
Tire spec lacks grip in loose conditions
Seat tube length restricts dropper post options
Some models have flex when pushed hard
Limited steering lock
The Neuron CF SLX has been an absolute blast to spring and whip along local natural trails at consistently blistering speeds.
This is a crisp pedaling bike, with little apparent unwanted motion.Bicycling

Excellent value for money
Very comfortable
Excellent rear suspension

How does the updated Neuron AL compare to its more expensive doppelganger the Neuron CF?
Supportive suspension lets you push hard and the spec is impressive
Geometry needs updating and the tyres might not be best suited to wetter climates or rougher terrain

Canyon Neuron AL range consists of two models – the AL 6.0 and the AL 7.0. There's a women-specific version of each, with gender-specific contact points.
Clean, attractive frame. Excellent suspension.
Sizing and geometry hobble the Neuron on technical trails. Some spec choices are questionable.
