Summary
The Canyon Aeroad is a highly regarded aero road bike, praised for its aerodynamic efficiency, comfort, and value. It offers a stiff, responsive ride with quick handling, making it a favorite among competitive riders. However, some note its front end can be harsh on rough roads, and the integrated cockpit may limit customization.

The new Canyon Aeroad is the first re-issue of the bike since its inception back in 2014. While the new version looks similar to its predecessor, in fact, it has very little in common with it

New light & aero Canyon Aeroad CF gets more carbon build options than ever , from entry SL to ultra-premium Canyon Factory Racing CFR...

The new Canyon Aeroad will certainly pique riders' interests with its quill stem, adjustable handlebar width and market-leading claims of aerodynamics but is it as good as its makers will have you believe?
Slightly relaxed geometry makes it suitable for more riders
Genuinely comfortable ride
Competitively low weight (7.3kg size L)
Aero cockpit's cut-free stem height
Width adjustable handlebars
Restricted to Aeroad cockpit, of which six-degree rise option only available… for now
Non-carbon-railed saddle seems out of keeping with otherwise high spec
Specced with older DT Swiss ACR 1100 Dicut wheelset… for now
Tubeless tyres not included

Canyon claims to have the world's fastest aero bike with the Aeroad CFR... but what about those width-expandable bars?!

It might be a good few years old now but the Canyon Aeroad CF SL 8.0 disc is still a very good bike despite the aero market upgrading significantly in between
Efficient and fast
Excellent brakes
Comfortable for an aero bike
Value
Excellent spec
Not the fastest aero bike on the market
It is longing for an update

Canyon's aero road bike is light enough for the mountains and fast enough to rip through the valleys.
Aero frame
Integrated handlebar and stem
Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset
1.25-inch steer tube limits stem options
