New light & aero Canyon Aeroad CF gets more carbon build options than ever , from entry SL to ultra-premium Canyon Factory Racing CFR...
Oct 2020 · Josh Croxton
The new Canyon Aeroad will certainly pique riders' interests with its quill stem, adjustable handlebar width and market-leading claims of aerodynamics but is it as good as its makers will have you believe?
Slightly relaxed geometry makes it suitable for more riders
Genuinely comfortable ride
Competitively low weight (7.3kg size L)
Aero cockpit's cut-free stem height
Width adjustable handlebars
Restricted to Aeroad cockpit, of which six-degree rise option only available… for now
Non-carbon-railed saddle seems out of keeping with otherwise high spec
Specced with older DT Swiss ACR 1100 Dicut wheelset… for now
Tubeless tyres not included

Canyon claims to have the world's fastest aero bike with the Aeroad CFR... but what about those width-expandable bars?!
Feb 2020 · Joe Robinson
Most of the superbike performance without the superbike costs. Although you may want to change wheels.
Aero road bike on a budget
Flawless 105 groupset
Disc brakes
Wheels are not very versatile
23mm front tyre slightly outdated
Dec 2019 · Symon Lewis
It might be a good few years old now but the Canyon Aeroad CF SL 8.0 disc is still a very good bike despite the aero market upgrading significantly in between
Efficient and fast
Excellent brakes
Comfortable for an aero bike
Value
Excellent spec
Not the fastest aero bike on the market
It is longing for an update
Oct 2019 · Robin Wilmott
First is its obvious stiffness with an extremely direct sensation of acceleration from every pedal stroke; second is the deep carbon rim whoosh as the bike leans from side to side.. .
Excellent component specification, price, speed
Suffers from a choppy ride on bumpy surfaces
