Summary
The Canyon Neuron is a versatile and lightweight trail bike that excels in climbing and efficient pedaling, with a suspension system that provides good support and comfort across varied terrain. It offers excellent value with high-quality components and a carbon frame, making it suitable for a wide range of riders from beginners to experienced enthusiasts. However, its conservative geometry and less aggressive tire spec may limit performance in more technical or steep conditions.
Excellent value for money with high-quality components
Lightweight and efficient for climbing and distance riding
Versatile and capable on a variety of terrain
Comfortable and composed suspension performance
Agile and quick handling
Conservative geometry limits aggressive riding
Less aggressive tire spec struggles in loose conditions
Some components like brakes may lack power
Suspension can feel linear and lack mid-stroke support in some builds
Cable rub and other minor fit issues reported
The Neuron CF is a 130mm trail bike that falls between the brand's enduro and cross-country models.Bicycling
Canyon’s killer value Neuron CF 9.0 SL is about big miles and vast vistas not big air and rad verts.
The Canyon Neuron is an exercise in balance and the easy-going ride will delight intermediate riders.
The Neuron excels on the climbs and performs well on the descents on all but the rowdiest of terrain.
The Neuron is balanced and nimble, a versatile modern day cross-country trail bike that doesn't make one feel as if they need to be lining up to a race as much as having a good time on the trails.Pinkbike

The high-end, superlight version of Canyon's 130 mm touring rocket, the Neuron CF SLX 9.0 LTD has a new frame and is designed to hit the sweet spot between comfort and riding fun. But what are the limits of this ultimate all-rounder when it comes to trail performance? Can it be the perfect bike for both Alpencross and home trails?

When Canyon updated its trail-oriented 29er, the Neuron, about a year ago, we found it to be quick, efficient and level-headed. It takes a more classic

The Canyon Neuron isn’t radical but it’s very rideable if you’re into making big days on the bike as easy as possible.
Forgiving frame and suspension and balanced, traditional geometry make for an easy ride
Great carbon wheeled spec for the money
Soft frame, suspension and trad not rad geometry are placid rather than progressive
Too tall to size up for stretch, cable rub on fork and head tube

A fantastic bit of kit for XC riders with a penchant to get a little rad and rowdy some of the time. Its geometry is fairly conservative though, but the bike is comfortable and composed in most situations on both the descents and ascents.
Value for money, great suspension and should appeal to a fairly broad range of people
Conservative geometry and its intentions can sometimes outgun its ability

The Canyon Neuron is a value-packed trail bike that falls more on the cross-country side of the spectrum.
A very much all-around XC/Trail bike
Excellent spec for the price
No S or XS in 29" versions and the tall seat mast height limits the size medium
Geometry isn't all that modern
Impact Protection Unit (IPU) could be annoying for some riders
