Summary
The Canyon Speedmax is celebrated for its exceptional speed, aerodynamic efficiency, and comfort, making it a standout in the triathlon category. Reviewers highlight its intelligent design, adjustable features, and value for money, though some note minor practical issues. It's frequently compared to top models like the Trek Madone and Cervélo P5 for its performance.
Exceptional speed and aerodynamic efficiency
Intelligent design and adjustable features
Comfortable ride quality
Good value for money
User-friendly components for quick fit optimization
Minor practical niggles
Di2 box could be more accessible
Long crank arms and wide aerobars may not suit all riders
The Canyon Speedmax CF SLX not getting a great score because of its value, it’s getting a great score because it is simply an awesome bike.
I found it faster than both the Trek SpeedConcept and the Giant Trinity that I tested for some time.
The Canyon really does deliver on nearly every point that matters, but I have one criticism. Long crank arms may be in fashion for some, but they can make getting into a low position difficult.
