14 miles into the first ride, a patch of gravel in Girona sent me sliding. After climbs, corners, and rough roads, the Gen-5 Evo still felt fast and confidence-inspiring.
UDH-compatible rear dropout
Feels fast, smooth, and predictable
Climbing comfortable, poised when descending
Carries speed well on rolling roads and through corners
Lighter weight options (Lab71 SL and Evo 1 SL)
48/35T chainrings with 10-33T cassette not ideal for some
29mm tires feel skinny, can accommodate 32mm
No mechanical drivetrain compatibility

Cannondale updates its do it all road race machine the SuperSix EVO, but you'll have to look very hard to see where.

The most striking difference might be the sharp new looks Canondale has a new bike out that shaves off some weight and adds more aerodynamics
Lighter than previous generation
Improved aerodynamics
New SystemBar Road cockpit with narrow widths (34-38 cm) and flare
SL builds offer very low weight (6.4 kg top-end)
Clean design lines
Modern tire clearance up to 32mm (with 4mm extra clearance)
Good-looking bike
Cockpit balances aerodynamics and handling
More aggressive and race-focused with 10mm lower stack height
Only compatible with electronic groupsets
Non-SL version not as light as expected given weight savings claims (7.3 kg)
SL builds less aerodynamic spec choices

Cannondale has merged its two road race bikes into one with the fifth generation SuperSix Evo, which comes as light
Lighter and more aero
Racier and wider size range
Narrower and ergonomic handlebars
Tidier frame
Handling unchanged
Similarly priced to before
Cheaper models don't benefit as much from innovations
Some riders might need more spacers
