Finding the right bike is hard! Here at 99 Spokes, we’re looking to change that. Unfortunately, the pandemic has made this task even more challenging. A surge in demand coupled with a disruption in supply chain has resulted in empty showroom floors with no end in sight. Anyone looking for a new bike in today’s market can tell you, it’s more about finding any bike that fits than it is about finding the right bike.
To help address this problem we’ve added the option to filter by availability when searching for bikes. Simply click the ‘In Stock’ facet, enter your height, and we’ll use the power of our massive dataset to show you results for bikes that fit you and are available for purchase today!
First we need to understand the recommended rider height for each size that a manufacturer offers. This can vary quite a bit by manufacturer and we do our best to integrate this manufacturer-specific size data when adding new bikes to the site. You can see the resulting sizing charts displayed on individual bike pages. Here's an example from the Lauf True Grit Weekend Warrior
5'1" – 5'6"
5'4" – 5'9"
5'7" – 6'1"
5'10" – 6'4"
6'2" – 6'7"
Next we monitor product inventory data from over 100 different online retailers. This process occurs 1-4 times a day, depending on the retailer, so we can guarantee fresh data for your search results.
Finally we map the available products to bikes on the site and use your height to limit search results to bikes that will fit and are available for purchase. Now instead of dealing with dozens of different websites, you can find all the information you need on 99 Spokes, in seconds.
Try the Used and Certified Pre-Owned options
Add a Watch to any of the bikes on the site. All we need is your email and desired size(s) and we’ll begin monitoring inventory. When we find one in stock we’ll send you an email and let you know. Be ready to act quickly though… it’s not uncommon for new stock to disappear in a few hours.
99 Spokes tracks inventory for more than 170 brands across 97 storefronts.
