Cube has a huge range of e-bikes, all using Bosch mid-drive motors. Rather than come out with any radical new designs, the Bavarian-based company usually prefers to evolve its range, taking on new Bosch motors as they come along and opting for incremental improvements on current model designs with the more occasional totally new model design. Cube's current e-bike range takes in everything from full-sus eMTBs through trekking and urban models to 20 inch wheeled compacts, e-cargo models and, for 2022, an e-folder.

Bosch motor, downtube integrated battery, and compact display make this a reliable and aesthetically pleasing ebike. The third generation Bosch Performance Line Cruise mid-drive is compact and quiet, but still very powerful with up to 65nm of torque. It offers shift detection and uses a standard sized chainring.
The 9-speed Shimano Alivio derailleur with 11 to 36 tooth cassette is above average, offering smooth shifts and a comfortable pedal cadence options for varied conditions. Excellent Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with larger 180mm rotors deliver smooth powerful stops. Six frame sizes and two frame styles (high-step and mid-step) make it approachable and comfortable.
Low capacity 400 watt hour battery keeps the price and weight down, it may also allow for the shorter downtube lengths on the smaller frame sizes. Limited readouts on the stock Bosch Purion display panel, and no USB charging option here. The bike can be upgraded to use a fancier Bosch Kiox or Nyon aftermarket. Very basic coil suspension fork with preload adjust only, but the tapered steer tube allows for fancier air forks after market.

Fast reactions to pedal inputs help on climbs, but the stiff chassis affects descending capability
Instant acceleration
Impressive spec, with well-chosen components across the board
Harsh ride chokes descending speed and rough-trail acceleration
Tyres are thin and need higher pressures to prevent punctures, adding to the uncompromising ride feel

Ugly e-bikes don't cut the mustard any more! As the sophistication of battery and motor technology improves, the next frontier for e-MTBs is to make sure they look good too. Cube are on the money with their new Reaction Hybrid 500 SL, an 'entry level' e-MTB with clean, sleek lines.
Great looks.
Excellent Bosch motor/battery.
E-MTB mode simplifies the ride.
No dropper post.
Tyres aren't tubeless ready.

Cube's Reaction TM is a harder hitting version of their high-value aluminium Reaction hardtail range, pairing a sturdy 130mm fork up front with fat 2.6" tyres on 27.5" wheels. It's cracking value and much more capable in the rough than the rest of the range if you like hacking about in the woods, but there are harder edged weapons out there if you want to go full gonzo.
