Haibike SDURO HardSeven 8.0 e-bike review

Feb 2019

The Haibike SDURO HardSeven 8.0 is an aluminium hardtail e-bike best suited to touring and tamer terrain. Built for comfort over the distance the e-mtb does what it says on the tin and is pretty good value too, but it’s not a trail shredder.

Haibike sDuro Trekking 4.0

Sep 2018

Haibike’s sDuro Trekking 4.0 is a city-oriented build of their hardtail mountain bike frame. It’s well-specced and fun to ride, with a motor that rewards a bit of input from the rider. The range is impressive, and the spec decent for the money. The tyres and fork are the low points. The build: sensible gearing, good brakes The sDuro frame is available in standard or low-step configurations, but both are essentially a diamond frame with a heavily shaped top tube. The low-step version, that we have, is just a bit lower at the junction with the seat tube.

Haibike SDURO AllMtn 7.0 e-MTB review

Dec 2017 · Guy Kesteven

Potentially decent plus-tyred cruiser, but weight, handling and Yamaha motor limit current fun

Highs
  • Smooth, traction-friendly power and high maximum torque

Lows
  • Motor lacks initial bite, and torque/cadence-based assistance bandwidth is narrow

  • Integrated display is hard to read

  • Tall, short, high-standover ride position means it’s not naturally aggressive or tech-minded
