A classy-looking, smooth-riding trail bike that needs work to get it riding just-so
Lovely finish, head-turning looks. Smooth-feeling suspension, well-considered parts list
More mid-stroke support would help in most trail situations

The 2021 Intense Primer 275 Pro is a bike that will give the rider confidence to charge hard and tackle most terrain with ease.
The Build Kit
Ground hugging feel
Cornering Traction
Grips are too thin
Not very playful on jibs
Would like a longer dropper

Is the Intense Primer 29 Pro the Quiver Killer that the marketing makes out? Ex racing whippet Daz tries keeping up on the ups and downs.

Intense's Primer S Pro marries a 29" wheel and 150mm of travel up front to 140mm of bounce and a smaller, fat tyred 650b wheel at the rear. It's a lightweight, good looking and high-end bike that offers a lot for the asking price, but the ride and suspension isn't quite as sorted as some similarly spendy rivals.

The Intense Primer has evolved with a broader purpose, and carries the entire weight of Intense's trail expectations on its shoulders.
Decent weight
Feels old school

Most riders are familiar with the handling differences between 27.5-inch and 29er wheels, but once the third option is tossed into the mix, the choice can become a difficult one to make.
