Zusammenfassung

The Vitus Sentier is a trail bike that blends performance and affordability, offering a smooth ride with impressive specs for the price. It's praised for its playful character and excellent low-speed control, though some riders may find its geometry limiting, especially on steeper trails. The bike's versatility and value make it a strong contender in its category.

Pros
  • Smooth ride with plenty of grip

  • Impressive spec for the price

  • Playful character and excellent low-speed control

  • Great value for money

  • Top quality frame and best fork in test

Cons
  • Geometry may not suit everyone, especially on steeper trails

  • No dropper post

  • Brakes lack power and have a wooden feel

  • X-Fusion fork tends to dive through its mid-stroke

  • Short reach makes standing climbing less stable

Key Quotes
Vitus has done such a good job of blending performance and affordability that for the budding trail rider there’s little to moan about.

The Sentier is spritely on the pedals, and as a hardtail, it should be.

2021 Vitus Sentier 27 VR review

Nov. 2021

After testing a few budget-friendly hardtails this year, we’ve found that very few of them have come close to matching the apparent value of Vitus’ Sentier VR. It comes with a mighty impressive spec for the cash and a geometry that’ll please new riders. However, that same geometry offers a severe blow to the bike’s versatility. Vitus Sentier 27 review

Juni 2021 · Alex Evans

An impressive spec for the price and plenty of upgrade potential, but a few geometry tweaks would improve its ride

Höhen
  • Smooth ride with plenty of grip on the ups and downs

  • Impressively specced, with performance-enhancing components in key areas

  • Flicky ride that’s well-suited to flatter trail centres and bridleways

Tiefs
  • Geometry may not suit everyone, especially the seat tube length and reach

  • No dropper post, although that’s excusable given the low price

Vitus Sentier 275 VR - MBR

Dez. 2019 · Alan Muldoon

Successfully defending its 2018 title, the handsome Vitus Sentier 27 VR defies its sub £1,000 price point with the best spec, geometry and overall finish.

Höhen
  • Great spec, fast, massively versatile and lightest on test.

Tiefs
  • No dropper post, cheap resin pad-only rotors.
