Summary
The YT Izzo is a lightweight and efficient trail bike with 130mm of travel, praised for its excellent climbing performance and agile handling. It offers a playful and responsive ride, making it well-suited for rolling terrain and technical trails. However, some reviews note that it can be demanding on rough descents and has minor issues with component accessibility.
Excellent climbing performance
Lightweight and efficient design
Agile and responsive handling
Good value for money
Playful and fun ride quality
Struggles on rough or aggressive terrain
Some components have accessibility issues
Can feel harsh or demanding on long rides
Tire and brake choices may not be ideal for all conditions
The Izzo was hands down my favorite climber.
Fast and fun on the right tracks, the Izzo begs for another lap.
Stiff, fast, demanding: that’s the IZZO BLAZE in three words.
This thing is absolutely razor sharp to the point where it makes those other bikes feel a bit soft.
The Izzo is an absolute weapon on the right terrain.

The YT Izzo Core 2 offers exceptional value for the money, and the only carbon-framed test bikes at this year's Value Field Test.
Excellent climbing performance
Light and lively; well suited for rolling terrain
Very good parts spec for the price
Tight clearance around shock air valve limits pump choices

The YT IZZO CORE 3 is a trail bike that commands your attention. Visually striking with clean lines, a considerate build spec and a geometry that can man-handle some pretty gruelling terrain, the IZZO CORE 3 is impressive, to say the least. Held back by a less than ideal tyre choice and a lacklustre own-brand dropper post, it's difficult to fault this well-executed and playful trail bike. Why are mountain bike cranks so long? The best cycling water bottles that money can buy. Endura launch its first MTB shoe range for 2022.

The YT Izzo Core 4 doesn't fit the typical trail bike mold. This 27.5 lb carbon 29er has 130mm of travel front and rear along with a moderate modern...
Agile and responsive
Zippy climber
Lightweight
Amazing build for the price
Actual seat tube angle is relatively slack
Lackluster freehub engagement
Can be overwhelmed in aggressive terrain

Experts Only! The IZZO-BLAZE checks out of YT's "Downhill clinic" with an extra centimetre of travel, grippier tires and a more robust spec. But not everyone will benefit from the additional reserves on the trail. Here’s why.
Damn fast uphill
Super poppy and direct
Great value for money
Demanding downhill
Paint worn on the seat and chainstays

Just over a year after it launched the Izzo, YT is rejigging its trail offering to fit its current Core model lineup.

YT’s Izzo might just be a bike that defies it’s XC/Trail roots. It’s time under our test crew had it pushed well beyond it’s intended capabilities with barely a complaint. Here’s our take on YT’s little trail bike that could… Reviewer // Blake Nielsen Photos // Matt Staggs When you purchase a YT here in Australia via Pushys online the bike arrives in a box on your doorstep, and it comes with some pretty cool bonus items in the box.
