Summary
The YT Industries Decoy is a versatile enduro e-MTB that excels in downhill performance and offers a fun, responsive ride. It features high-quality components like Fox suspension and Shimano motors, but some models suffer from battery size and motor noise issues. The bike is praised for its value and durability, though its geometry and stability at speed can be divisive.
High-quality Fox suspension
Shimano EP8 motor enhances climbing
Versatile and fun ride
Good value for direct-to-consumer
Durable high-end components
Smaller battery than competitors
Motor noise when coasting
Short reach affects stability
Heavy weight
Fragile tires
The Decoy is one of the eMTBs I've ridden that rides closest to a mountain bike
On the descents, the Decoy 29 Core 4 is the epitome of what a modern trail bike should be.
IT WAS THE MOST FUN WE HAVE HAD ON A BIKE IN A WHILE. LIKE LAUGHTER-INDUCING FUN. GRINS FROM EAR TO EAR.
