Summary
The YT Industries Capra is a versatile enduro bike that excels in downhill performance with improved suspension and geometry, making it faster and more comfortable than its predecessors. It offers a mix of precision handling and intuitive ride quality, though some models may lack stability at high speeds or on big jumps. The bike is praised for its downhill capabilities and updated geometry but has noted cons like a high seat tube and increased price.
Improved suspension characteristics for downhill
Better pedalling position for uphill
Precise and intuitive handling
Lightweight and eager to pop into the air
Great support in corners
Weak tires and poor stability at high speeds

Price has increased significantly
Size large may be cramped for taller riders
This is not just a new YT Capra. This is an answer to the question of what the next wave of bike updates is going to look like.
The Capra Shred is a bike that’s easy to just jump on and ride and feels instantly at home being carved from turn-to-turn or launched skywards in the bikepark.
The light Capra eagerly pops into the air on small waves and generates lots of speed in berms.
The new Capra is a better bike that the outgoing model – better equipped, easier to demo and with increased support thanks to the YT Mill.

The distinguished YT CAPRA Core 4 tops the Core range. As such, it’s dripping with top-end kit to deliver an exciting and capable ride that’ll have bikes twice its price quaking in their boots. However, it doesn’t quite have the lengthy geo expected of an enduro bike. Forget the big-budget movie launches featuring Hollywood stars! What we want to know is does the 2022 YT Capra Core 4 29 live up to the hype?

YT Capra 29 Core 4 is 165mm enduro bike with 170mm fork, slack geometry, and bottle-ready full carbon frame. And there's somewhere to stash a water bottle.
Improved suspension characteristics for downhill, and better pedalling position for uphill. The bike feels more comfortable, planted and also faster than the old 29in bike. The water bottle is a nice bonus.
The price has crept up £1,150.

The new YT Capra is more than just a geometry update. It's new carbon, mixed wheel sizes, and a pre-order system so you can get in line.

Apart from the launch edition which is only available in the MX, the bike is available in the same build kits as the 29"..

Could be a bit roomier and the seat angle could be steeper, but still incredibly capable and masses of fun
Low-slung, very planted suspension
Reassuringly rock-solid when the terrain gets demanding
Not the flashiest kit for the cash but everything works well
Seat angle could do with being steeper
A touch more reach wouldn’t go amiss
