YT Capra 29 Core 4 is 165mm enduro bike with 170mm fork, slack geometry, and bottle-ready full carbon frame. And there's somewhere to stash a water bottle.
Improved suspension characteristics for downhill, and better pedalling position for uphill. The bike feels more comfortable, planted and also faster than the old 29in bike. The water bottle is a nice bonus.
The price has crept up £1,150.

The new YT Capra is more than just a geometry update. It's new carbon, mixed wheel sizes, and a pre-order system so you can get in line.

Apart from the launch edition which is only available in the MX, the bike is available in the same build kits as the 29"..

Could be a bit roomier and the seat angle could be steeper, but still incredibly capable and masses of fun
Low-slung, very planted suspension
Reassuringly rock-solid when the terrain gets demanding
Not the flashiest kit for the cash but everything works well
Seat angle could do with being steeper
A touch more reach wouldn’t go amiss

The YT CAPRA has been on the market for several years but the bike is far from outdated, as our test proves. The new flagship Elite model has almost everything a racer needs. How will it fare on our racetrack?
Balanced, confident handling
Plush, defined suspension
Almost race-ready at a fair price
No bottle cage bosses
Weak tires and short dropper post
Sluggish on the climbs and when accelerating

In the space of a few years, YT has been able to gain a great popularity not only with very aggressive marketing campaigns, but also well thought out and aesthetically appealing bikes at extremely competitive prices. Opening the gates to this new approach in a certain sense was the Capra, an enduro model initially released in a 27.5″ format and now also available with 29″ wheels. YT set us up with the larger diameter wheels in the CF Pro spec, the intermediate level one among the three offered with a carbon frame. On the contrary, there are two levels for the aluminum version, which at the chassis level differs only
