Summary
The YT Industries Jeffsy is a trail bike that excels in aggressive descending and technical climbs, thanks to its Virtual 4 Link suspension and adjustable geometry. It offers excellent value with its consumer-direct business model, though some builds may feel twitchy at high speeds or limited in suspension travel. The bike is frequently praised for its fun factor and versatility on a variety of trails.
Consumer-direct business model keeps prices significantly lower
Virtual 4 Link suspension provides excellent small-bump sensitivity and mid-stroke support
Ideal geometry for aggressive descending with adjustable angles
Snappy and agile yet stable on technical uphill sections and high-speed descents
Frame can’t accept traditional water bottles
Some builds may feel twitchy at higher speeds
Limited suspension travel on rougher terrain
if this was the $4,600 version, how could the flagship CF Pro ride any better?
Fast, agile, feedback-rich and top value, but its short travel and uptight geometry are frustrating
The YT Jeffsy is a ripper of a bike.

The new JEFFSY has caused quite a sensation. However, for this group test, we had last year's YT JEFFSY 27 AL. Can the bike still deliver?
Very composed on rough trails
Excellent rear suspension
Good value for money
Sluggish climber
Underpowered brakes in steep terrain
A bit cumbersome on flat trails

The Jeffsy MK2 got a lot more than a minor facelift—re-worked geometry, updated suspension kinematics and plenty of smart design features abound.

Fast, agile, feedback-rich and top value, but its short travel and uptight geometry are frustrating. Buy if you want a fast, agile alloy trail bike
Outstanding spec for the money
Naturally fast, involving and enjoyable ride
Well-balanced suspension feel
Grumbly cassette and limited seatpost adjustment
Tall position and short reach and wheelbase mean it can feel twitchy at higher speeds

The YT Jeffsy is a ripper of a bike. It’s hard to explain why; when you look at it on paper there’s nothing particularly magical about its numbers or suspension. But on the trails, it flat out shreds, down, up and round the bends. We fell in love with this bike last year, when we …

The build kit on this bike is insanely good for the money

Priced right and packing good looks, the YT Jeffsy is a tempting buy. But how does the Jeffsy star up on the trail or against its 29" brother?

The Jeffsy CF Pro Race 27 takes the stock 27 platform and pumps the travel up to 160mm. It’s something of a lone wolf within the Jeffsy 27 range.
Light, fast and dressed to impress.
Takes the Fox 34 to the limit.
