Recently, Yeti revamped and updated most of the bikes in their lineup and in doing so they re-shuffled the deck, so to speak. The updates to the Yeti SB140 have brought the geometry right up to date and made maintaining it easy with a trustworthy build specification. The bar height is a little too low for my liking and it can't be labelled as "good value for money" but it sure is a solid and reliable trail bike if your pockets can take the hit.

It's new, it's purple, and it's pricey. Find out how the SB140 performed on Whistler's technical climbs and descents.
Well rounded, capable in most terrain
Great technical climber, with plenty of traction
Comfortable overall feel
Not as surefooted in the steeps compared to some of the other bikes on test
Some riders may want higher rise bars, especially considering the short headtube & low stack
