The SB165 is by far the most efficient long-travel 27.5-inch bike we’ve ever ridden.
The SB165 is downright practical. But don’t let that fool you. It’s also both fun and fast.
The Yeti SB165 is a phenomenal performer, as I’ve said all along. Considering how it rides alone, there’s very little that can come close, let alone beat it.

Might be my favorite bike yet, especially with the custom paint job.

One of the best riding bikes out there, just make sure you stick to a rigorous maintenance schedule to avoid irreversible damage
A genuinely fast, forgiving and fun bike to ride
Internal cable routing, even with cable guides, is a hassle
I experienced linkage and bearing wear much sooner than I was expecting

Freeride does indeed live, but don't make me say those words...

Despite its being long in travel, this bike pedals very well uphill. Not only that, Yeti has gone against the tide by choosing the 27.5″ wheel format, which has been losing popularity for some time now. A rather peculiar bike, with extreme geometry and with a progression curve specifically meant to accommodate a coil sprung rear shock, with which it is sold as standard. After trying it for

Call it big, call it brawny, just don't call it enduro.

Yeti’s got a new long-travel 27.5-inch bike, but you probably saw that coming. Also, it rips, but you probably saw that coming too.

Breaking news: The new hard-charging 180 /165 mm travel, 27.5” wheeled Yeti SB165 2020 is aimed firmly at air junkies and park-rats.
Beautiful construction and well-designed hardware
Suspension balances support with plushness
Great tune on Fox DHX2 shock
The Exo+ tires may look good on the scales, but such a bike needs a tougher sidewall
The smaller 27.5” wheels do struggle more in holes, most riders would still be better with the SB150
The high price cannot be ignored
