Summary
The Yeti SB115 is a versatile cross-country bike that excels in climbing efficiency and descending capability, thanks to its Switch Infinity suspension platform. It's praised for its lively, agile handling and efficient pedaling, though some riders may find its geometry and suspension setup require a more aggressive riding style. While it shines on smooth, twisty singletrack, its performance in rougher terrain and at high speeds is mixed, with some noting limitations in stability and suspension progression.
Efficient climbing with Switch Infinity suspension
Lively and agile handling
Versatile performance for both climbing and descending
Well-spec'd tire combination for grip-less terrain
Lower price point compared to similar models
Requires aggressive riding position for optimal performance
Slacker seat angle affects steep climbing
Limited stability at high speeds
Suspension may bottom out on rough terrain
Some build components may not match the bike's potential
The SB115 is a completely different beast; in Yeti’s words, it climbs like an SB100 and descends like an SB130.
Yeti counters the lower, longer, slacker trend and the result is a quick and agile short-travel trail bike.Bicycling
The SB115 is a solid little bike, both in terms of how the suspension feels as you mash on the pedals and when pushing it through chunky terrain.

It's rare to see one of our editors shift UP a gear, stand up on the pedals and sprint uphill with all their passion. That’s exactly what happened when we tested the Yeti SB115 TURQ3, which seems to have a rocket propulsion system hidden in the down tube. Read on to find out how it performs on the trail and whether it can maintain its lead downhill.
Super fast and agile uphill
Incredibly playful and fun
Prestigious and extremely good looking
Cables not clamped at the ports
Rear blows through its travel harshly and suddenl
Tire/wheel combination doesn’t do justice to the potential of the bike, especially downhill

The SB115 takes the acclaimed SB100 platform and gives it more travel and capability.
Sharp handling and precise.
A touch heavy for an XC-ish bike
Geometry may not suit all riders

The 2021 Yeti SB115 is a cross between the SB100 short-travel 29er and the SB130 mid-travel 29er, in a package all its own.

A solid feeling, snappy handling, rapid trail bike that would benefit from a longer front end
Supple and supportive suspension that’s also nice and efficient
Longer reach figure would give additional stability at speed

If you like your peaks to appear in a training diary, rather than attached to the front of your helmet, the new Yeti SB115 could be the bike for you.
Works as an XC bike for burlier stage races such as the BC Bike Race. Plush yet efficient suspension.
Needs to be longer. XT brakes were inconsistent and pads rattled. Press fit BB.
